Modern Languages - Placement Test

These placement tests determine your level for University of Ottawa modern-languages courses only.

They are given strictly to place you in the appropriate modern-language course at uOttawa, and they

do not qualify you for credits
do not indicate proficiency in the chosen language
do not give you course equivalences and
have no relevance for courses given outside the University of Ottawa.

Please note that it is to your advantage to complete the placement test to the best of your ability. During the first few classes, your language level will be evaluated again and might be changed from what was first determined on the test.
